What Does A Health Lifestyle Coach Do?
Whether you're in the self care industry or you're interested in working with a health lifestyle coach to make healthy changes in your life, you may be wondering what exactly a health lifestyle coach does from day to day. Let's take a look at some of the many heats I wear as a health lifestyle coach.
I work with clients who are ready to make healthy changes in their lives. Typically, we focus on nutrition and movement changes that move clients closer to their health and wellness goals. When I work with clients on nutrition, we talk about what foods and nutrition plans make them feel their best, and work from there to create plans that make sense for their lifestyles. It's important to me to create plans that are doable long-term. Short-term fixes can provide fast results, but they aren't a good fit for people who want a permanent change.
We also talk through movement goals. A healthy amount of exercise can vary from person to person, and it's important to take things slow to stay healthy and create a sustainable change. We'll talk about how much exercise you get currently (and it's ok if that's none!) and work from there to incorporate more movement into your life. We'll incorporate your preferences into your exercise plan. It's important that your exercise is enjoyable and stress-relieving for you.
We'll also talk through mental roadblocks that have stopped you from getting healthy in the past. We understand that destructive thought patterns can make it hard to create lasting change, and we'll push through these issues together.
